Kelley Blue Book just released it's picks for top 10 Green Cars for 2010 and despite recent recalls and troubles plaguing Toyota, the Prius made the list eclipsing all other cars on the list in miles per gallon.

A California highway police officer helped slow a runaway Toyota Prius from 94 mph to a safe stop on March 8 after the car's accelerator became stuck on a freeway near San Diego, authorities said.

Toyota admitted design problems with the brakes in its prized Prius, adding to the catalog of woes for the world's No. 1 automaker still reeling from a massive U.S. recall involving faulty gas pedals.

Toyota is aware that NHTSA has opened a Preliminary Evaluation centered on owner complaints of a braking issue with the 2010 model year Prius. Toyota will cooperate fully with NHTSA’s investigation.
