Chevrolet has made a major commitment to providing world-class, fuel-efficient vehicles to its customers around the world. In recent months, through GM’s Shanghai GM joint venture, Chevrolet has introduced the fuel-efficient Cruze and New Sail in China. It will introduce the Volt electric vehicle with extended range capability in 2011.

Kelley Blue Book just released it's picks for top 10 Green Cars for 2010 and despite recent recalls and troubles plaguing Toyota, the Prius made the list eclipsing all other cars on the list in miles per gallon.

Volkswagen plans to expand its fleet of electric drive vehicles: The use of hybrid technology in production vehicles is already being demonstrated in the Touareg Hybrid at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Green Car Journal named the Audi A3 TDI clean diesel vehicle the 2010 Green Car of the year.

Although details are still forthcoming, the Audi R8 e-Tron looks set to play in the same arena as the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG eDrive and the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics, among other green supercars from Europe.
